For principles of charity, I think we always need to compare what someone does with whether they would like it to be done to them.

If a man wld love a woman to approach him whilst he was at gym wearing headphones & compliment his body, his doing so might not be malicious

However, if he tries this approach a few times with good intentions & gets irritated or alarmed or insulted responses, he shld learn not to.

He should also use charity and not assume that these responses indicate ill-will but a different take on the mating game.

Men are conditioned from a very young age to understand that if they do not jump first, *nothing* will happen. And that's usually correct.

They can also learn nothing will happen if they approach women in certain ways in certain environments but this takes trial & error.
