I don't know anyone on the left who opposes homophobia in relativist ways. I know lots of religious tolerance folks who do, tho.
-
Read the article. Pride is under pressure to ban ex-Muslim critics of Islam for protesting in exactly the way critics of Xtianity have done
-
It says they got complaints from some mosques. That doesn't strike me as complaints from relativists. Can you explain?
-
The East London Mosque isn't relativist, no! I was thanking Peter for not being a relativist as so many *human rights activists* are
-
Pride now has to decide whether or not to let ex-Muslims protest Islamic homophobia in same ex-Christians can protest Christian homophobia.
-
And I question your framing that he is different than most human rights activists on the left, given that they are not relativists.
-
I hope you're right but I fear you're not. I'm not sure how we'd measure.
-
I mean, if you're concerned surely you have some relativists you could point me towards? Cause otherwise why frame it this way?

So those people who say white supremacy & Nazism are objectively wrong should also say Islamic supremacy & genocidal antisemitism are wrong.
-
They do. Constantly. They're not the ones pushing RFRA as a shield for religious bigotry.
-
That's good then!
-
So who are the relativists specifically you were throwing shade at here?
-
Can I ask you to have a look at some of the responses yourself? It will be much quicker than me trying to explain in tweets? Hang on.
-
The comments where? Those seem to all link to the London mosque complaints. Are the relativists not an organized group just commenters?
-
There isn't an organised group called 'relativist principles' or one called 'consistent principles' no. These are arguments being made.
