Actually, I think there's a much more valid case for that. Lots of boys grow up w/out close male adult role models.

I agree too. We do need more male adult role models, considering the number of kids growing up without a dad.

But I wouldn't say the reason that men don't go into teaching is due to sexism, although that plays a very minor role (paedophiles)

Yes. It's one of the few areas where I think actually having 50/50 men and women would be beneficial.

A closer proportional representation but not 50/50. Also, I'd never advocate for quotas either. Just a matter of convincing men to teach.

I'm going to engineer my kids so that they might grow up to be engineers! Unless it's a girl - then it's going to be a teacher xD
