What would be the right way to make those points? It does seem like an open discussion on diversity was the right time and place, no?

That response is way too long for a twitter convo. But I'm working on a YouTube video to discuss it. Overall: we need to better the way we

Process Info. I thought his paper was so-so. I wasn't offended and I wasn't impressed. He made general statement's that don't help

And didn't offer any solution, from what I read, that was logical. I was hoping for an actual solution.

Our understanding of the value of people based on their gender (in this case). The OP had many concerns all surrounding the bio dif. Right?

Diversity hiring has always been an interesting concept to me. I think diversity matters but I still think you need to be qualified.

And I still think you need to handle the culture that is Tech but again to generalize women seems ignorant.

And I always worked in situations where you could bring something potentially offensive to co-workers to the privacy of your boss

And that way you wouldn't upset the people you work with in the team, and wor would still flow smoothly but you can get your concerns heard

Would that apply to feminist ideas too? Why bother having a group for discussing gender issues if you can't use it in case you upset someone

Normally when companies open up that kind of discussion they're hoping for ways to positively include people

Not generally make statements about co-workers which demoralizes and erases their individual accomplishments. And yes that goes for everyone

Being in tech is very hard and from what I've seen for most companies is they won't hire you if you don't do well in the interview process

The issues we need to tackle is the fact that people who don't want to be in Tech will not succeed in it. It is not for the faint of heart

Really? People who read the memo are actually upset that people who don't like tech don't do well in it & not anything the memo said?
