What would be the right way to make those points? It does seem like an open discussion on diversity was the right time and place, no?
Would that apply to feminist ideas too? Why bother having a group for discussing gender issues if you can't use it in case you upset someone

Normally when companies open up that kind of discussion they're hoping for ways to positively include people
-
Not generally make statements about co-workers which demoralizes and erases their individual accomplishments. And yes that goes for everyone
-
Being in tech is very hard and from what I've seen for most companies is they won't hire you if you don't do well in the interview process
-
The issues we need to tackle is the fact that people who don't want to be in Tech will not succeed in it. It is not for the faint of heart
-
Unrelated to the memo.
-
Possibly but from my understanding this seems to be what's upsetting people
-
Really? People who read the memo are actually upset that people who don't like tech don't do well in it & not anything the memo said?
