Yes, I'm absolutely not denying that communities & families can exert a much greater pressure than societies can.
I have two young friends dealing with demanding Indian parents pushing them into medicine & engineering respectively right now.

But this is a subcultural issue rather than 'social pressure' affecting women whose choices to have careers or not are both quite acceptable

In the same way that there can be rapists & 'rape subcultures' but this does not indicate the UK is a rape culture.
