The only objection I have is govt $ for abortions outside of a hospital. IMO, we reach the extremists when we talk abt legal access.

I'm not sure what you mean by inside and outside of hospitals.

Me neither. Seems to be vaguely implying life-saving necessity. But I'm not sure.

Not necessarily life saving but generally yeah that or a serious condition with the developing child.

Another thing most Christofascists also don't deem "necessity" is a threat to the health(but not life) or future fertility of the mother.

I disagree with them. Here's the bottom line: I want the abortion decision itself to not involve the government.

If the government doesn't fund it, the government becomes inherently involved in biasing poorer women's decisions towards not doing it.

Life isn't fair. Especially the less money you have. Doesn't change my objection.

But what is it based in? It certainly wouldn't save the state money to force poor women to have children. They cost more to provide for.

I think we need more govt spending for low income families and kids in the US. A big reason I almost always vote Democrat

So what is the ethical principle underlying the resistance to funding abortion. Is it an emotional one? Wanting to discourage it?
