What else shouldn't the government pay for based on the religious objections of some citizens? Vasectomies? Oral contraceptives?

Presumably. Not sure talking abt religious objections tho. More 'take responsibility for your own mistakes' 1/2

But this does only seem to apply to sex mistakes. No comparable resistance to paying for other people's obesity-related treatments.

Some sex mistakes. Is anybody saying STDs shouldn't be covered except total wingnut fire and brimstone types?

The only objection I have is govt $ for abortions outside of a hospital. IMO, we reach the extremists when we talk abt legal access.

Speaking *very* generally, an abortion performed in a hospital is likely to be medically necessary.

So your objection is to paying for abortions that are not medically necessary rather than where they take place?

That's fair. Although in the US as a practical matter that generally means in a hospital. But I don't want to even say medically necessary..
