Sometimes ppl seem to think I can read their minds but unless they actually say what they disagree with me about & why, I can't address it.

Usually, this means they've decided I'm on the opposite side of a issue vitally important to them & they don't need to tell me what it is.

So, now I've been accused of reading comprehension issues and can only conclude that he is referring to mind-reading.

Yes! Exactly. That's what it feels like to me too. This happens surprisingly often & I never find out where we differ or why so angry.

Also you are not a stereotypical dogmatist on issues and people expect everyone else to be that, so you confuse them.

People often prefer arguing against what they want your position to be. Like a politician who asks themselves questions to steer interviews.
