Muslims as people can be wonderful people, but islam as a religion isn't a wonderful idea. It's the exact opposite.

Kindness is very important. Tolerating bad behavior and regressive attitudes (misogyny, homophobia, authoritarianism) isn't kindness.

Battling misogyny, homophobia, etc., is far more complex than just calling it out in strangers. That accomplishes very little.
