Is saying an Italian should be judged according to Italian law culturally relativist?

Yes, you do talk a lot about human rights in the piece.
-
I don't understand what you mean. I'm talking about holding one's own ethics consistently or inconsistently.
-
We generally hold that other nations are free to set their own laws without interference. And I imagine that cultural-relativists would
-
appeal to that sort of thinking - i.e. who are we to tell other people how to set their own rules?
-
I have addressed this. Being consistent in one's own ethics doesn't require invading other countries & forcing them to adopt them.
-
Its an internal thing. We either think all women deserve genital integrity or just white western women.
-
OK, so in that case we would argue that there's a human rights violation. But, what about when no human rights are violated?
-
Then we might not consider it something that needs ethical consideration.
