I think schools have the right to have minimum standards for visitors. Genitals, bums, nipples showing, no. Faces showing, yes. Reasonable.

Did u approve of school that said boys couldn't wear shorts during early summer heatwave? U known, when some of them wore skirts in protest
-
No. There is no justification for saying girls can show their knees but boys can't & that is not the issue.
-
It was the school's rules though.
-
Good thing I'm not arguing that all school rules are reasonable then, isn't it?
-
You were earlier Helen. You said rules are there to be followed
-
Where?!
-
I have argued the opposite of this many times. I said schools had the right to have some minimum standards & what I thought were reasonable.

I think we know what the issue is
-
There's considerable disagreement, actually, but feel free not to engage if you have it all sorted out in your mind.
-
So you can't visit your dying mother in hospital if you wear the niqab?
-
So everyone's got to wear a niqab if they want to see their dying mother? (I can do that too)
-
Not logical
-
No, its not. Try to address what people are actually saying.
-
Where did i say everyone should have to wear a Niqab? Personally I don't like it but being a (real) liberal I don't care to dictate dress.
-
Where did I say anything about dying mothers in hospitals. This is what I mean abt not making huge leaps.
