Intentionally using the wrong pronouns after being told what the correct ones are is belittling.

Boldly using the pronouns of a trans person's birth gender is a common taunt. It's frequently used to bully, just like my other example.

And some will say that using a trans person's preferred pronouns is a common way to belittle women & take their identity away. .

That pairs well with the argument that gay marriage belittles traditional marriage, neither hold water, for exactly the same reason.

I get it. You think your ideas are so obviously right that everyone should be forced to comply with them or they're just an arsehole.

I think people should be nice, and intentionally using non-preferred pronouns isn't nice.
