as a woman, I've gotten rape threats and threats to expose (nonexistent) nudes. I think it's legit to find it scary, but...

And men are more prone to being murdered. Arsehole men exist & present different threats to men & women. We tend to focus on the women.

I certainly don't want to diminish the experiences of women but I do think we focus a bit too exclusively on them as victims.

And this is not only unfair to male victims but also makes women seem able to cope with the existence of arseholes even when not threatening
