I find that most of my essays, especially academic ones, take the form of 'This is why a commonplace argument is actually wrong.'

They're not so sure. Too much time is spent defending/protecting the "believe" with deflection. Rather than with arguments.

They seem to have arguments. Last one could have found some for PoMo being good & science having caused harm.
