I'm not a big pomo, but it seems that many ideologues find moral relativism scary because it puts closely-held values into question.

Its not scary. It's unethical. We need to apply liberal principles consistently or we have no liberal principles.

In fact, whether or not values are good or bad should not be dependent on whether they are our own or not. Consistent principles needed.

And I have an individualistic take & so often agree with different people on the left or the right on different things I consider 'liberal.'
