frankly if you're happy to break a romantic relationship based on genitals you shouldn't be dating anyone

One I share more for ethical reasons than because this is evidenced & accompanied by a coherent explanation.
-
Feminists who think gender is cultural construct won't agree. Nor will Muslims who think it correlates exactly with sex & is God-bestowed.
-
oh, it is a social construct, but so is money or a job, it doesnt exist objectively but it does inside our society
-
Again, it depends what you mean by gender? Blue for boys, pink for girls? Then yes. Psychological & cognitive differences? No.
-
are you confusing gender with biological sex?
-
I am asking if you are. Some people use gender for the former & some for the latter. Claim different interests are culturally constructed.
-
no, gender and sex are different, scientifically they are defined as different
-
How do you define gender? And how does science support it?

well if we go by psychological and sociological definitions then yes, trans women are women
-
By some psychological and sociological definitions. This seems a little Eurocentric & liberal-leaning.
-
by most, a simple search on the yale uni library backs me up uhhh eurocentric? how is it eurocentric
-
Because the acceptance of trans women as women doesn't dominate every analysis of society. Its mostly in western universities.
-
there are trans people in asia and america too, maybe their law doesn't say they are but science does
-
This is a good argument. The transgender brain? But it does exclude people who identify as trans but don't have a transgender brain.
-
Also requires people to define gender by brains - by biological sex differences which I thought you were against conflating.
-
im not, this was to prove trans women are biologically women in their brain
