Liberal or not, is really not the point. It's the original idea. Any religion is meant to be peaceful. Some use those books for their agendas

No, its not. Where did that idea come from? What gives you the impression that Muhammad was peaceful? He was a war-lord.

Christ was peaceful as the son. As God the Father, he ordered many mass-murders. Also, there's the 'eternal torture for wrongthink' thing

Personally, religion doesn't work for me. But I believe everyone is free to believe if they want to. Believing doesn't harm, abusing it does.

That's a secular way of thinking. If you thought it was literally true that apostasy sent ppl to hell, wouldn't you ban it?

Honestly..if it were true it would be history. And they'd believe in that or some else and go to church, work, pray, eat, sleep and repeat.

You're not responding to what I'm saying. Muslims really believe what they say they do & act accordingly.

Think how you'd act if what they believed was true and then realise that they think it is. Put yourself in someone else's place.

I find it easy because I was someone who believed literally in religious texts but its easy to do thought experiment. Imagine its true.

I really can't imagine. I just know that it fuels radicalism that everyone is swept together unjustly.

So don't. Support liberals & reformers &oppose fundamentalists. Ppl who try to make all believers benign or all violent generalise harmfully
