Its been a while since some1 tried to persuade me to try to reclaim feminism for gender equality rather than criticise it for not doing that
-
-
I did this for years & had a lot of allies tho many have given up now. Some haven't & they're the ones who still talk to me!
-
The problem is that feminism shouldn't die and people feel it too. When i feel i need to defend it I have no choice but relate to it. See..
-
Well, we'll have to differ there. I think its day is over & the aim for gender-equality must now come from both sides.
-
I don't get why - if it's truly about gender equality - it's so important to call it 'feminism'...
-
Globally, women face far more disadvantages than men, esp in Muslim-majority countries & in India (where I'm abt to live). So 4 me still apt
-
It's a better argument actually.

the goal post have been moved, equality now means what is convenient in the moment...post-modern equality ;)
-
No it doesn't. It's just being hijacked. It's wrong to assist to specially when it's still not the normal and has to be fought for
-
which part need to be fought for? there is now a generation that have seen women in every job and political office, what are we fighting now

They are right to do so. But. When it's "shifted" as you say it's degenerated into something else that shouldn't be gifted the same name.
