Sometimes it feels like talking to someone who has Alzheimers or is extremely stoned. Do you remember the point & what was said about it?

In conversation, I make a point & you respond to that point by saying what u disagree with & why. Then I respond to that. That's how it works
-
And I'm not using Alzheimers meanly as an insult. I worked w/ people with dementia for years. This is what some conversations remind me of.
-
Non-sequiturs. Forgetting the point. Changing subject. Repeating themselves. Insisting they didn't say things they said 5 minutes ago.
-
These aren't stupid people. It's an entirely different language game. I don't know how to play it & I don't want to coz winning is worthless
-
You know they're not stupid coz there's a cleverness in the evading & misreading & feigned confusion. Put your brain to better use!
-
And now I've been rude to someone in frustration which I'm ashamed of. I doubt I will ever learn to walk away. Grumpy now.

I'm sad to say I'm losing my capacity for amazement. I think I have a few years on you :-/
