I take your point, but disagree in that he's not basing his refusal to speak with him in the content of his ideas; rather not being "big"

That's a different thing again. Nothing to do with diversity of ideas or ability to have a conversation. I suspect that's not whole reason.

Again, fair point. But given the incredible reach @elibosnick actually does have, I suspect that this is disingenuous reasoning.

      Replying to @Amocito0901 @GodDoesnt and

I don't think 'reach' is the reason, no. Don't think it was suggested it was. Reason not to bother muting rather than not to bother talking.

If reach isn't the reason, or wasn't suggested. What is meant by the phrase "He's not big"?

It was given as the reason for not needing to mute.

Given as the reason for not needing to mute. Because he isn't big. But this isn't about reach? What other way is that phrase meant? Height?

Big can certainly mean reach & it might do here. I'm not a mind-reader. I'm pointing out its given as a reason for not needing to mute.

Not as a reason for not talking to someone. We know James has talked to many small podcasts.

However, as a side point, whether or not someone is a significant influence depends on who they are influencing & whether you respect them.

Some big names among MRAs & alt-right have attacked me. I don't care coz they have zero influence among people whose thinking I respect.

I have clearly said there is nothing to gain from certain people's discussions. Those who are rigid & wed to an ideology. No common ground.
