These people should be compensated at a higher level. (I wasn't) You can't just say 'Our carers don't have to put up with that.'

Whilst I don't agree with that, it made it very clear that the person I was dealing with was not the person he really was & I had sympathy.

Yes. I watched a documentary on the number of violent criminals who had frontal lobe damaged - often caused by shaking as a baby.

Included a kind, well-loved dentist who attacked a child in his chair & then the brain tumour in his frontal lobe was found.

It can, Yes. Sometimes those attacks are designed to hurt you. That is their goal. But not because of you, But what you try to do to them.

Yes. That's the difference. Altho motivated by great pain not caused by you, they do want to hurt & will remember & even justify etc.

Not saying more to blame than person with malfunctioning brain but its feels more personal coz aimed at you as a person.

True. Though more what you represent than Personally you. Some experience fear. Some can't control anxiety or anger.

My point is: you know these things going in. You ask yourself, can I do this? Be honest. If no, stay away from the job.
