So then I decided to focus on this & found it rewarding to work each client out & see what helped them to be calmer & co-operative.

I think there is a change in expectations of what people *can* deal with & how harmful abuse is. I don't think it needs to be at all.

Not if you know that this is what the challenge of the job is. Especially when its caused by brain damage. But even if not, many can cope.

My friend has made a career of working with highly aggressive violent offenders & teen offenders because progress with them is so satisfying

But I might be reading entirely too much into this & it could be one local authority, one psych nurse, & three different care agencies.

Its still a small sample. Maybe more agencies are continuing to deal with this professionally & provide care for brain damaged people.
