Males are a buyer's market, being perceived that way doesn't happen as openly/frequently, so it's less annoying and more flattering.

Also, when as a straight male you hang around with female and gay friends, you are kinda shocked at first by their rude commentary.

They were worse than my male friends, women can be a bunch of potty mouthed drunken lads really, without even drinking.
