Hammers & nails, if you want to persuade that there is a patriarchy, then the backlash will be perceived and possibly have sexist undertones

My female friends don't report sexism. My mother experienced it. My 27 year old daughter is very sceptical that it commonly exists.
-
That's progress. Where in my time it was pervasive in law firms and banks, today it seems to be particularly problematic in tech firms.
-
Which is a sad anomaly. Many think that sexist behavior today is limited to older workers, but the tech industry is decidedly young.
-
I don't know how much credence to put in this. I see so many women saying it exists & so many refuting this angrily. Become politicised.
-
Just look at the numbers of male/female hires. I don't believe the gap is attributed wholly to "women don't like science"...
-
The pool of tec degrees is same size for men & women? ratio less than 1/5, you can't hire what doen't exist https://public.tableau.com/en-us/s/gallery/women-tech-whos-receiving-computer-science-degrees …

Obviously, sexism plays a part in why those candidates don't exist, e.g. when tec firms no longer have that reputation more women will apply

Unfortunately, women have a disproportionate share of child care responsibility than their working spouses, so they need that accommodated
