Significant anecdotally or significant scientifically? I doubt 20 people is scientifically significant to 1% of Twitter

It's interesting. The most popular Twitter accounts are diverse in terms of gender and race.

(sorry, that's 1% of 500 million, so, 5 million, so 20 people are.. I don't know how to covert to % but... very few)

I'm not sure Joe was claiming that 20 people are 1% of 500 million.

"Maybe I'm being unfair, maybe the next will show all white males" - but the study said 57% men to 43% women

Is that a claim that 20 is 1% of 500 million. It was interesting, Dan. I can't be bothered to argue about it. It is what it is.

You're right Helen, this conversation is unproductive. I have to say I'm disappointed, though.

Then I said, that's not significant to 1% as in the study. The you suggest I claim he thinks 20 is 1%. Just demonstrating insignificance.

I don't think top twenty disprove the study's stats. They just complicate simplistic claims of glass ceiling & most popular being white men
