Disputing a scientific study with anecdotal evidence, eh? It said 'disproportionately' not 'overwhelmingly'. Top 20 isn't anywhere near 1%
It's interesting. The most popular Twitter accounts are diverse in terms of gender and race.

(sorry, that's 1% of 500 million, so, 5 million, so 20 people are.. I don't know how to covert to % but... very few)
-
I'm not sure Joe was claiming that 20 people are 1% of 500 million.
-
Its just a closer look at the most popular people of all. I can't get motivated to care much about this.

Everyone has access to Twitter. No-one is entitled to followers. People will follow you if they find your tweets interesting enough.

If you want to dispute the study there's loads of approaches but just saying the top 20 users are diverse seems to misunderstand it.
-
I don't think it matters that much. It was interesting. The report was heavily ideological in its claims for the cause.
-
Judging by both the report and these reactions, seems like the report was moderate and the reactions here were ideological
-
I don't see that. Report claims glass ceiling, societal inequalities reflected, men taking higher positions. Top 20 users is just that.
-
There hasn't been any suggestion the top 20 are diverse because ideology of race or gender. Just presented.

I can't find total but 300 mil per month so let's say 500 mil minimum. 57% men 43% women. That's all the study says. Diversity expected.
-
OK... That's good then. Coz its what we see.
