I tend to think it's often unconscious bias tho and that there's an important difference between inconsistency & hypocrisy.

I'd draw a sharp distinction. And I know when I'm accused of hypocrisy, this feels v unjust coz I'm in good faith even when not seeing bias.

Assume inconsistency is error of judgement not a moral failing. However, intellectual dishonesty & refusal to consider bias is moral failing
