I will march and vote for Trans rights but I would not date a Trans man. That's not Homophobia that is a preference.

You can have your preference but you might ask yourself why you have it. Introspection is useful.

How much does introspection help when considering who one is attracted to? I can list physical traits I find attractive but am not sure why

Why do I find lean, wiry men & women attractive but not stocky muscular ones? Why do I like long hair & for them to be taller than me?

I didn't say it was an easy question to answer.
Just one worth looking at.2 replies 0 retweets 2 likes -
I'm not sure it is. I don't think we can intellectualise or moralise sexual attraction itself only how we act on it.

So if someone only wants to date, say, white people, they shouldn't examine why they wouldn't date a black person?

I think 'I'm not turned on by penises/vaginas' is quite sufficient. Skin colour wld be one of those traits like height & build & hair colour

Much more likely to be attracted to a range of these but if you're not, you're not.

If you want to examine whether or not you have unconscious bias re: race, many better ways of thinking abt it than 'would I hit that?'
