This is what I am talking about (badly, it seems.) The logical problem with this as a response. It doesn't actually address the issue.

Telling Saudi women to leave (& letting them do that) if they don't like Guardian system doesn't address issue of whether its a good system
-
It sees society as monolithic. eg telling atheists to leave US makes US abt Xtianity &ignores that its also abt freedom of religion & speech
-
This is a separate issue from discussions about what values we as a country do consider essential. I think liberal democracy is.
-
It is reasonable to say, eg 'If you refuse to respect LGBT rights to live in safety, we will deport you or lock you up.'
-
This is not the 'ergo decedo' fallacy. This is a social contract. Tho both can be expressed as 'If you don't like it, leave.'
-
And so, at the root of this fallacy, I think, is a false belief about what the social contract is or a dubious idea of what it should be.
-
And often a projection of it onto the other person, 'If you don't like this aspect of society, it's illogical for you to be here.'
-
Even people who want a society opposite in every way to the one they had could answer coherently that they want to change that.
