That fact misses the point. The question is whether the healthcare provider is free to make as much as he would like or need in medicaid.
I think that's something for health professionals to consider when deciding how to work rather a make or break for having the service.

I have private healthcare. The consultants at the top of their field work there. They've also all contributed a day or 2 to the NHS.

A week. They don't have to, obviously. It's a kind of charitable thing so ppl who can't afford private HC can still benefit.

I agree with you, that is a consideration. It is why I support a hybrid system of health coverage where providers can choose either system.
