Heaven forbid we care about the health needs of ppl who aren't us.
Do you think muting people is wrong? I do so quite a lot if ppl are deliberately missing the point or I forget & try talking to them again.

Not at all, but in this case you didn't have to. You could have just ask him to stop. We have this type of talks all the time.
-
Is the problem that you think I misjudged him & he's someone you can have a conversation with & so mute-worthy to avoid that happening?
-
Yes definitely, Twitter can be hard to express what he's trying to say, he's a personal friend so I've spoken with him many times.
-
OK. I will unmute and perhaps we can try again another time.
-
Thanks.I agree with him that health is not right, but I agree that it should be. I don't want people to die because they can't get vaccinate
-
Seems you saw a different point better to me. I thought it was that governments are death squads & public health care kills just as many
-
as no public health care. Took him for a conspiracy theorist of the most hyperbolic kind. But you say not so not sure what happened.
-
You can see that people were willing to donate 1.6 million to help this kid, his point is that this is what it should happen, free choice.

I don't always agree with him, but it make me think. It's a different point of view. That's just it.
-
I didn't get that impression. I got impression he was deliberately not getting mine &was making false equivalencies dishonestly. Am I wrong?
-
I can talk to people who don't believe in universal health care & spoke to others on th thread who didn't but does have to be coherent convo
-
Helen, how do you feel about the free market arguments for health care? I like Universal, but either limit seems workable in principle. 1/2
-
2/2 Certainly, I find Ben's "commodity, not a right" and "nurses are servants" rhetoric to be irritatingly unconvincing.
-
That's the one I'm arguing against, tbh. The position that we don't have a duty to make it a right & shouldn't pay for other ppls health.
-
I'll be in favour of any system which ensures that no-one falls through the gaps through no fault of their own.
-
Yes- I never found arguing for health care as a business taking priority over health care for health to be satisfactory.
