What do you think the reason that men fight to see their children is? I'm sure it will be reasonable & compassionate https://twitter.com/WynnPeabody/status/879611096620859394 …

You appear to be saying that most of those are down to abusive women. (Where abusive means denying the father access for no good reason)
-
No! There could be good or bad reasons for women opposing shared custody.
-
There could, but your argument that people are reasonable and compassionate falls down with the bad arguments.
-
That was sarcasm.I was saying I'm sure she'll be reasonable &compassionate in her reason for men fighting for custody
-
Because I was really sure it wouldn't be.
-
Don't most women oppose shared custody because of the implications for the stream of financial payments they would receive? /1
-
First, if custody is 50:50 then there is no child support. Second, access is a marvellous lever to extract alimony + child support. /2
-
Yes, women can be selfishly motivated for impeding custody. But generalisations are a problem.

Men fight to see their kids so they can be abusive towards them? I've never heard of this. What evidence?

Truth is probably that there's a good degree of pettyness, and then a bit of both in the rest.

Yep, most do. Not arguing that. Just talking about the subset that are getting to court over it.
