and we should listen to the people who suffer under it and ACTIVELY try to get it as close to 0 as possible. Not waste time on comparisons.

The whole concept of progress was central to liberalism then but derided & suspicious now. I think that's a shame.

Hopefully, it will give u some insight into current & historical conditions pertinent to conversation at hand. Being angry at a bad thing.
