"Criticize Islam, not Muslims" is akin to the canard of "hate the sin, not the sinner," that has long given license to anti-LGBTQ views.

This is often how supporters of LGBT rights feel about Christians linking gay sex with other actions considered morally wrong.
-
Unfortunately a lot of Christians don't understand how to live without being judgemental of other people's life choices.
-
I do see the difference between being overtly so & being so in principle but not hostile. You still see gay relationships as sinful tho.
-
Yes, but I have no issue with gay couples, gay marriage or gay rights. I think no less of them than I do anyone else, including myself.

I'd say you're absolutely within your rights to feel that way and it wouldn't offend me. No one is required to respect my choices.
-
As predicted. I feel that way too. But I'd still have to own my prejudice against Christians and you yours against LGBTs.
-
I'm not in any way prejudice against the LGBT community. I don't see them any differently from anyone else.
-
But you see gay sex as a sin but not straight sex as a sin even if both were within marriage. This is the definition of of prejudice.
-
Let me try to explain how I see it. And I'd like your thoughts on it. To me gay sex is a sin, just like say, lying is a sin. No difference -
-
And that is the problem. Can you not see why lumping homosexuality in with dishonesty, anger, greed, etc might seem hurtful & unjust?
