Yes. They could say honestly that they're opposing an attutude that wishes that patriarchy still exists or acts as though it does.

When they talk of attitudes in which sexist men behave as tho women need to be ruled by them or have to defer to them. That does happen.

I think we agree almost entirely. Just interested in fact that mostly, when it's contested, ppl are using different senses of the term.

Yes. They've usually redefined it to cover genuine gender differences or complain about sexist men or men perceived as sexist.
