Why are 90% of violent crimes committed by men?
-
-
When men are aggressive & abusive, it tends to be physical. When women are, it tends to be verbal/psychological. Most aren't.

So you don't believe there's any cultural difference in male socialization around violence?
-
Oh, I do. Some cultures valorise violence & this makes a difference. But its a crime in ours & men punished more harshly than women
-
You are saying we don't valorize violence? What is our image of Valor?
-
Yes, I am. It's a crime. Some men use it in intrasexual competition but we encourage healthy & safe versions of this.
-
We don't encourage men to hit each other or women. Fighting games, martial arts, action movies etc are the approved outlets for aggression.

Who is "we?" Have you watched TV recently?
