Apparently I derail conversations abt VAW if I point out the claim that you're more in danger of violence if a woman is factually wrong.

So i got a video from this Australian feminist which argues male violence against women stems from girls being told to be pretty not clever

Could you point me in the direction of the data/statistics you have in mind here?

Not sure how "more VAW by men than the other way around" argument about misogyny gets canceled out by "more violence by men against men"
-
For example, the textbook old fashioned wife-beater... didn't necessarily hit his boss or coworkers...
-
Why do you say that? If a man only hits women, it could well be misogyny but violent men tend to be violent generally.
-
It need not be so black and white. The % of hitting incidents against members of this or that category could say/suggest something...
-
Following your lead here, stats would suggest that men have a deep hatred of other men and like women a lot better.
-
Yes, that was a non-sequitur, for exactly the same reason as misogyny to explain vaw is a non-sequitur.

Oh I agree. Men are always the more violent sex, for evolutionary reasons. But the violence is overwhelmingly aimed at other men.

you can if you're a fundamentally dishonest ideologue with an axe to grind and a tale to tell.
