I think patriarchy is evident and gender is on a spectrum of construction where some are more fluid and others more fixed.

Patriarchy is a tendency towards a division of labor by sex in the overall population. It is descriptive.

No, the division of labor in question tends to keep women family focused and men more outwardly so. Men are sort of left in charge.
