I don't know why some people think a person is more genuine & honest face to face than in writing. I find the opposite to be true.

It feels to me that committing an idea to text is a commitment to that idea in a way that spoken words are not.

Not that we shouldn't try to be honest in speech just as much but it's more exploratory coz it's in real time with my thoughts.

Whereas so much of spontaneous speech is intuitive & hasn't undergone that process. That can happen later when it's too late & that's awful.
