It depends on the audience. Twitter especially tends to lend itself to biased audiences that don't hold you accountable

Hold each other accountable when you have a conversation. Audiences will do their own thing wherever they are.

Yes, then the convo ends & you don't bother trying to talk to that person again & everyone can see why.

Whereas in face to face conversation, you may only realise you've been deflected from the point when you listen to it again later.

I like Twitter coz it gives me time to make sure I've understood the other's point & that I'm responding in a unambiguous way.
