Do I live in some bubble where men & women are mostly nice to each other & occasions of abuse are rare & met with condemnation? For 40 yrs?https://twitter.com/HPluckrose/status/874982063933452288 …

Most recent stats (here in Australia) are 1 in 3 women have been abused. One every 3 hours beaten in USA. 1/2

For physical violence, see Table 6, p.27 of the PDF. Lesbian incidence of physical violence is higher than het. https://www.cdc.gov/violenceprevention/pdf/nisvs_sofindings.pdf …

"Minor" violence (slapping/shoving) is virtually the same for male het and female het victims. But for severe, females victimized at 2X.

When it comes to falling victim to psychological aggression (Table 8) lesbian women significantly worse off than het women, who = het men.

Overall conclusion: there must be a vast market for offering anger management classes if anyone is looking for a new profession.

If that's the case, it's a strong argument for that very bubble being a better alternative than the other bubble. ;)

no, but it sounds like you naturally avoided those types of people. Like I avoided (for one way or another) women who would treat me badly.

Maybe I'm in the bubble because that's alien to me and relationships have been a huge struggle to unlearn that

Since nowadays 'abuse' includes somebody disagreeing w/you, you are routinely abused but don't realize it. #exploit_your_victimhood
