Curious - do you find cooking relaxing? My best friend in college did - was her way of unwinding after long day

Can't say I do. Sometimes I enjoy the routine of chopping etc to make a big casserole to freeze if I have a good book to listen to.
-
Yeah. One of m problems w/ cooking & cleaning is, what I like are large blocks of uninterrupted time. For reading, video games, crafts, w/e
-
And I really resent things that intrude on that time, esp if they seem like work.
-
(Problem for me also in social activities - unless it's sthg I rly enjoy, I end up resenting it because it intrudes on my free time)
-
For me one of my problems w/ cooking is it seems like it's sthg that intrudes on my time
-
Which is why my husband now does most of it and I walk the dog
-
(Also helps that if I walk the dog, he doesn't have to deal with dog crap
)

That's what I do, too: prepare food & cook once a week. Takes approx 3 hours, then it's done for the entire week & it's grab n go.
-
Yeah, we tried that, the problem we had was we ended up not eating leftovers b/c we were tired of them.
-
I love the idea of the slow cooker and would like to learn to use it more efficiently but I haven't managed to do that so far :/

I'll oppose this. This only works with a large enough freezer that has sufficient space. Our freezer is small and is packed.
-
We would not be able to make big batches and store in the freezer, and this would be a limiting factor for many.

They just don't want/like to cook. You can work a lot before you have no time to cook.
