Yeah. You still have to set a premise even if its just that human wellbeing matters. That is the most obvious one tho.

You think there's a better premise? I think it should include other animals too but find it hard to think of a better basis.

I think it's fine as something to aspire to, it's simply some try to place an "ought" onto that, which I don't think exists.
