Christ's teachings has some good bits but nothing original and not found elsewhere. Themes of brotherly love, charity etc are common.

Unless you think that version of that god is real, no reason to limit yourself to one set of teachings. Can reflect on & evaluate many.

And if we were all humanists. I'd argue it would look better.

They don't deal with the magical stuff. You don't need any one set of teachings. You can read humanist philosophy if you want.

Or you can just value humanity and seek to maximise its thriving and wellbeing. We do actually know humans exist which can't be said for God

By foregrounding human wellbeing! Anything which causes harm to another is not permitted. Anything which increases wellbeing is promoted.

She can ask him to or leave him. We don't legislate people's relationships. He'd face condemnation from others.

What can be done in a Christian society?

Humanist ethics would tell us causing others pain is bad. Christian ethics might include this but also a lot of stuff abt times when its OK.

Maybe if its a slave he's cheating with or he has more than one wife or if a wife has to be offered to rapists to protect a man or something

If u don;t think Jesus and God are the same person or that God is perfect, u can ignore the Old Testament &Jesus saying he came to uphold it

Teaching glosses over the inconvenient facts. Did God ever say he was sorry for what he did in Old Testament & wouldn't do it again?

How would Christianity make that pain & suffering of the cheating go away?

Humanism has ethics around forgiveness too. If the man was acting according to humanist ideas he wouldn't cheat in the first place.

If you are committed to not harming others, you won't cheat. You'll be honest about wanting an open relationship from the start.

He can think so. As long as he's open with his partners about it. Nobody is denying that different people have different beliefs.
