Saying that atheists should have a vested interest in freedom of speech does not in any way indicate that I think we all have shared values.

Its simply true that justifying violence or prosecution for expressing ideas that a majority dislikes can justify doing that to atheists.

Well, they don't. They're quite open about not supporting it. They just don't seem to think this cld be used to justify silencing them.
