I don't consider having to see evidence of values you disagree with when you go out to be having them imposed on you.

I'd go further than this. As a Christian, I know that hostility by the world is a feature, not a bug. So why get bent out of shape?
-
Some people will always be hostile to LGBTs, Christians & more. I'd encourage not being & advocate prosecuting acts of aggression.
-
Agreed, and again for a Christian it goes further. All of us are called to be a reflection of Christ in all circumstances.
-
But people interpret Christ differently. Christianity is dominant here. State religion. Lots of rights no one else at all holds.
-
And as a Christian (a conservative too), I'd argue for severing the ties. Marriage of church and state is the kiss of death for the church.
-
Its the only reason its still relevant here. Less than 1% of Brits go to church regularly but it is still very powerful moral authority.
-
Zombie church. All body, no life. Like the Mainline here.
-
I should have said 'Church of England' - other denominations are more lively.
