    To me, being liberal entails the assertion that others possess the same rights as oneself. Some might call this imposing values, but Is it?

        Exactly, the harm principal but a lot of cultural/religious values from around the world fall foul of that standard.

        It gets murkier when we allow the teaching of those values to others that may be vulnerable. Sometimes you have to act to protect liberalism

        Agree. As long as it does not entail denying others those rights as well, they're free to do that (but often that's where it gets tricky).
