I'm sure many of our basic moral feelings are put there in place by evolution, e.g. disgust and empathy.
Well, that will be the culture bit. Not killing people horribly for not sharing your values is quite a new development.

That's quite a big bit is it not? Whether or not to kill people is kinda central to what morality is.

Well, we can still empathise with characters from old plays, but that's not quite the same thing as morality.

That's our moral emotions. Morality also has cultural elements. Do we kill unfaithful wives or divorce them?
