Wearing a hijab in the US is more an act of bravery than acquiescence to oppression. Likely to be met with harassment or discrimination.

Doesn't have to be though. Plenty of Western women wear a hijab as religious expression. Full stop. Feminism includes respecting that, no?

No. Feminists don't have to respect religious gender-specific modesty codes or religion. They shld respect the right to choose them tho.

Eg I can respect a gay man's right to be celibate coz he thinks gay sex is a sin. I don't have to respect the idea that gay sex is a sin.
