Wearing a hijab in the US is more an act of bravery than acquiescence to oppression. Likely to be met with harassment or discrimination.

Doesn't have to be though. Plenty of Western women wear a hijab as religious expression. Full stop. Feminism includes respecting that, no?

No. Feminists don't have to respect religious gender-specific modesty codes or religion. They shld respect the right to choose them tho.

That doesn't make sense to me. You can't respect a choice without respecting the act. That's like hating the sin but loving the sinner.

the problem is religions telling people what to do and what to think. for a while we had a strong secular movement. What happened?
